O•N•E: Diabetes: Implications for the Pedicurist

May 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

USD$45.00

Over the last 15 years, the population has evolved significantly to include a higher incidence of diabetes mellitus. As a result, it is imperative for pedicurists to have a solid understanding of foot and lower limb conditions. In this 3-hour presentation, the President of NASP, Vicki Malo, shares her wealth of knowledge regarding: diagnostic signs of diabetes in the feet and legs, how diabetes affects the lower extremities, and the practice of safe pedicure services for this specific population. Developing a deeper understanding of this disease and its impact on the skin and nails will ensure that clients receive informed recommendations regarding their condition and are able to utilize pedicure services in a way that supports their lower limb conditions. Learn why people with diabetes develop foot ulcers that can lead to amputations and how you as a Pedicurist can help prevent them
