Do you know the difference between dry skin, psoriasis, eczema and tinea pedis? How about the difference between onycholysis and onychomycosis or the difference between involuted and ingrown nails? With 80% of the population having some form of foot/nail disorder it is imperative for the pedicurist to have an understanding of what they see and how best to advise their client on care. Learn how to recognize different skin and nail disorders of the feet and legs in this 90-minute class with leading podiatrist Dr. Marlene Reid.
Dr. Reid is surgically trained in foot reconstruction and trauma and commonly treats tendon problems, chronic pain of the foot and ankle and podiatric orthopedic deformities. She is a past president of both the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and the American Association for Women Podiatrists. Dr. Reid is a former Chairman of the APMA’s Public Education and Information Committee and the former Director of Medical Education of Chicago’s Sacred Heart Hospital’s Residency Program.
